Associate Manager, Streaming Solutions
Job Summary:

The Disney Advertising, Streaming Solutions team is seeking an Associate Manager who will be a critical addition to our team.  As a member of the Streaming Solutions group within Client Partnerships, you will join a dynamic team that is responsible for building, pitching, and executing best-in-class sponsorship and partnership solutions leveraging the Hulu and Disney+ suite of content and ad products.

About The Role & Team

The Streaming Solutions team has Two (2) open positions. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Streaming Solutions, these roles will help support the growth of the Films/Docs/Live vertical OR support the Strategic Projects team. The right candidate will pair storytelling skills with strategic thinking to craft data-driven, Streaming-first sponsorship/partnership opportunities, ultimately driving addressable revenue for Disney Advertising.  Strong collaboration skills are critical in this role, as you work across internal and external partners to balance the needs of multiple constituents while pushing the ball forward. The ideal candidate will have superb written and verbal communication skills and be an idea generator, marketing strategist and seller at heart. This individual should also have experience in developing and packaging media opportunities and know their way around a media plan. What You Will Do:

1. Associate Manager, Streaming Solutions (Strategic Projects):

Assist Senior Manager in developing sales materials, such as gathering data and insights, creative assets, etc.

Maintain existing materials assuring they are up-to-date and relevant

Manage opportunity heat map and partnership opportunity tracker

Where needed, create additional opportunistic materials for distribution

Work with internal partners such as RYM, Analytics and Addressable Sales to optimize available streaming opportunities in the marketplace

Pull weekly revenue reports for non-traditional streaming offerings

Compile target advertiser lists

Assist in the development of opportunity one-sheets

2. Associate Manager, Streaming Solutions (Films/Docs/Live)

Work with internal teams to identify monetizable opportunities rooted in the Hulu and Disney+ content libraries

Collaborate with Disney CreativeWorks to develop custom co-branded concepts to bring to the marketplace.

Work with Analytics and RYM to develop media plans and thresholds for large-scale initiatives

Work with Research to use data and insights to build sales narratives

Create sales collateral that positions and evangelizes how to best utilize our ad products in sales offerings

Communicate new packages to sellers and educate internal teams on how to sell streaming offerings

Support Senior Manager in the activation process: timelines, approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc. May include:

Assist in all project-related correspondence including legal agreements and project management documents

Coordinate and manage client and internal approvals

Support on-set shoots

Manage budgets and billing

Recap deals and case studies inclusive of research

Monitor and ensure project elements are delivering across all platforms

Work with internal partners such as RYM, Analytics and Addressable Sales to optimize available streaming opportunities in the marketplace

Create timely materials to push relevant opportunities in market

Ensure revenue tracking accuracy

Assist Sr. Manager in identifying priority opportunities

Required Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of experience in integrated marketing/media across a variety of industries from publisher, network, or agency

Working understanding of sponsorships, media plan development and experience supporting an ad sales organization

Ability to create crisp market-facing collateral and obsessive attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to translate oral ideas into written pitches.

Background in both linear and digital advertising

Strategic and creative thinking paired with problem-solving skills

Working understanding of how to best utilize our ad products in sales offerings

A passion for analyzing data and insights to guide strategic decisions

Experience in project management across linear and digital/social

Strong interpersonal skills (especially in high stress environments) and professional presence

Self-motivated and Proactive

Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets

Highly organized, expert attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multi-task

Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel (*Films/Docs/Live)

Bachelor’s degree required

The hiring range for this position based in New York is $89,900 - $120,500 per year and in Santa Monica, CA, the hiring range is $85,800 - $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
