Our US Marketplace team is responsible for growing the DoorDash business in the US, helping customers to discover & order what’s best in their city, merchants to grow their sales, and dashers to find flexible work.
About the RoleThe New Bets team (within US Marketplace) is looking for a motivated and hands-on operator to join as an Associate Manager, supporting emerging order experiences such as Gifting, Scheduling, and Pickup—use cases designed to enable customers to order to anyone, anywhere, anytime. These innovations aim to unlock incremental order frequency and drive meaningful growth for the US Marketplace.
As a Strategy & Operations Associate Manager, you’ll be responsible for scoping, launching, scaling, and operating new business lines and product experiences. You’ll report to the Senior Manager/GM of New Bets and partner closely with product, marketing, operations, engineering, and analytics teams.
We’re looking for someone with a strong Strategy & Operations toolkit—analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and a bias for execution—but who also brings a growth-oriented mindset and experience driving go-to-market efforts. In this role, you'll help test and refine early-stage use cases, own 0-to-1 growth experiments, and shape our GTM strategies before bringing in centralized marketing support to scale. You’ll play a key role in identifying the most impactful customer problems to solve and driving awareness, adoption, and engagement with new modes of ordering.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Build – You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details. Strategize – From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers. Grow – You’ll develop tactics and experiments to grow awareness (on and off our app) and trials of new products in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, Product, and Analytics teams. Experiment - You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes, informing your larger initiative implementation plans. Analyze – Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data. Lead and collaborate – You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including marketing, design, product, and operations, to build new lines of business for DoorDash. We're excited about you because… You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is beneath you. You have experience creating, testing, and measuring marketing/growth strategies to acquire new customers (or working closely with growth or marketing teams) You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning are exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments. You are customer-obsessed. You start with a deep understanding of the customer and connect everything we do to what matters to them. You’re analytical. You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and modeling in Excel. You have 5+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience). You’re a team player. You are able to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data and can ruthlessly prioritize based on business needs.Notice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC or Remote Jobs Associated With Office in NYC Only
