We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing’s technology needs into measurable business outcomes for our Growth and Performance Marketing teams.

About the Role

We're seeking an AI Solutions Architect to lead AI implementation across DoorDash’s Marketing teams. As DoorDash's first dedicated AI Solutions Architect in Marketing, you'll identify high-impact opportunities where AI can solve real business problems, then design and implement solutions that deliver measurable value. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between technical possibility and business need – you'll spend time understanding marketing workflows, evaluating AI capabilities, and building scalable solutions that deliver real impact.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI transforms Marketing operations. You'll lead strategic initiatives from conception through implementation, working with teams across Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly into our marketing technology stack. at one of the world's fastest-growing technology companies.

This role will report to the Director, Marketing Technology within the Growth Marketing organization.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Drive the end-to-end development of AI solutions for Marketing teams, from identifying opportunities to post-implementation optimization, directly impacting marketing efficiency and effectiveness. Assess third-party AI platforms and APIs, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless integration with our marketing technology stack. Utilize your expertise and technical skills to identify creative solutions to data or integration challenges between our first-party and third-party tools. Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas before driving adoption across Marketing. Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure AI systems have reliable access to clean, relevant data. Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the effectiveness and business value of AI solutions. Present AI strategy recommendations and implementation roadmaps to Director+ level stakeholders, with clear business cases demonstrating ROI. Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions that enhance the customer experience, drive operational efficiency, and support growth initiatives across multiple business lines. Create comprehensive training programs, maintain libraries of AI prompts and templates, and develop documentation that enables self-service AI adoption across teams. Drive MarTech adoption and best practices by improving internal tools, processes, and safeguards to ensure our customers consistently receive personalized, relevant, and high-quality content from DoorDash. We're excited about you because you have... 5+ years of experience at the intersection of marketing and technology, with a track record of building solutions that deliver measurable business impact. Possess strong technical skills, including advanced SQL proficiency, API integration experience, and basic scripting in Python or JavaScript. Experience implementing AI solutions beyond basic chatbot usage – working with AI APIs, MCPs, building prompt chains, or deploying models for specific business applications. Experience working with Marketing teams and have a solid understanding of performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, or marketing analytics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and get them excited about possibilities. Demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership, with experience influencing Product and Engineering teams without direct authority and presenting technical concepts to senior stakeholders. Comfortable with ambiguity and can create structure where none exists, thriving as the first person in a new role. Measure success through business impact, focusing on practical solutions that deliver high ROI rather than technical complexity.
