Associate Manager, Engineering

What You Will Do:

 As an Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Electrical & Software Engineers supporting a wide variety of engineering work in support of current production medical devices including design changes, process/quality improvements and compliance issues. You will be accountable for R&D deliverables for your team including but not limited to supporting and conducting root cause analysis, verification and validation testing, manufacturing transfer activities & component obsolescence management for existing products.

Execute a robust talent offense by attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging top talent while driving personal/professional growth of individuals, the team and delivering high quality results with passion, energy and drive.Accountable for ensuring all Electrical engineering deliverables for sustaining production lines are delivered with high quality and on time.Work closely with manufacturing and other cross functional partners to support day to day manufacturing including but not limited to line down issues, service parts, manufacturing transfers & supplier-initiated change requests (SICRs)Support Quality & Service teams for analysis of customer complaints related to product failures & provide solutions to resolve the same.Review engineering change orders (ECOs) and lead team to own the design change from root cause analysis to implementation; this involves working with cross functional team members to understand the problem, review proposed solutions, work with suppliers and approve design changes.Partner with teams for tool selection for software static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage and techniques for analyzing softwareParticipate in software architecture reviews and be able to guide / lead team in finalizing the architecture and work distributionLead and guide team for software development using software development processThrough the design process, you may review design circuits including but not limited to Schematic Capture, Layout and Failure Mode Analysis for PCBA’s, Cables and other electromechanical components.

What You Will Need:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electronics Engineering6+ years of hands-on experience in designing electronics or software for embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands on experience in designing and developing complex digital/analog electrical boards (PCBAs) for medical, automotive or other regulated industriesAdvanced understanding of electrical components like microcontrollers, power supplies, motor control designs and manufacturing methods including common failure modesAbility to interpret, analyze, and test electrical designs and software architecture/codeWorking knowledge of the electrical/software development processKnowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques in electrical hardware & software including familiarity with EMI/EMC & product qualification
