Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Communications Associate Manager located in Denver, Colo. This new position will lead Space’s internal Communications strategies for HR, develop strategies to enhance employee experience across U.S. Space locations, and manage Space’s internal communications channel strategies. This position will report to the manager of Employee Experience and Communications.
As the Communications associate manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of communications professionals in partnership with an international team, developing and implementing internal communications strategies, and providing strategic oversight and support to senior executive leadership. You will also oversee channel strategies and employee engagement initiatives as you continuously evaluate metrics to shape future approaches.
• Lead a team of Communications professionals – establishing a vision and coaching team members to achieve individual and collective business goals
• Oversee channel strategies and implement communications strategies leveraging integrated communications channels (intranet, digital signage, emails, video, leaders, etc.)
• Provide strategic oversight and communications support to senior executive leadership within HR and other teams as appropriate
• Lead an employee engagement initiative across U.S. Space locations, which including budget management and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve maximum impact and alignment with other business priorities
• Continuously evaluate metrics and impact to shape future approaches
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• 8+ years relevant experience
• Experience leading strategic communications projects and/or project teams
• Demonstrated strong writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways
• Experience cultivating and maintaining complex stakeholder relationships
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Journalism, Communications, Public Relations)
• Excellent communications skills with strong writing and editing abilities
• Highly organized and results-oriented with a strong sense of follow-up and closure
• Skilled in dealing with ambiguity and translating complex topics into clear messages to employees and leaders
• Strong understanding of the broad range of tools, processes and practices of internal communications and employee engagement
• Strategist with strong instincts and expertise influencing leadership thinking in strategic communications and issues management
• Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Budget management experience
• Position may require travel

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

What does this role look like?
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Communications Associate Manager located in Denver, Colo.
