Associate Linux Administrator - DevOps Engineer

What you'll do

 

As a Linux Administrator, you’ll be responsible for Server Management and Platform support for SAP’s core cloud products, which run on Linux-based environments across multiple cloud providers and containerized Kubernetes clusters.

 

In your day-to-day you will

 

Deliver L3-level support for the build and run of Linux servers running in Native and Cloud environment (AWS, Google, Azure, Ali & Converged Cloud) and Kubernetes platforms Diagnose and resolve issues related to Linux systems and associated platforms. Assist L1 & L2 teams with troubleshooting and resolving complex or escalated issues. Collaborate across global teams, acting as a liaison between application, infrastructure, and tooling teams. Work closely with colleagues on daily operations and projects. Engage in various Projects/Proof of Concepts and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Using DevOps tools to develop and maintain Automations.

2 to 3 Years of relevant experience Bachelor, Master, or equivalent graduate Hands-on experience in Linux administration Working knowledge of any of the Open Stack / AWS/ Google / Azure / Alibaba Cloud platforms Preferred understanding of virtualization, networking, storage technologies, containers, and Kubernetes. Experience with services like DNS, LDAP, email setup, user access control, and security group management is a plus. A strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes mainly Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management. Experienced in shift-based operations with readiness for 16/5 shift coverage and 24/7 on-call duties. Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English

 

 

 

Meet your Team

 

You’ll join the Platform Engineering & Delivery (PED) team in Bangalore, part of SAP’s Public Cloud ERP Delivery unit. The team manages infrastructure for a range of SAP cloud solutions including S/4HANA Public Cloud, IBP, ByD, and C4C. You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies and DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering practices. The team currently operates in a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and the remaining days working remotely from the base location.
