We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Associate Legal Counsel to support ZEISS Taiwan’s Legal & Compliance operations.
This role is responsible for reviewing commercial contracts, providing day-to-day legal advice, supporting compliance processes, and delivering internal legal and compliance training.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, communicative, and able to explain legal and compliance concepts in a simple and business-friendly manner.
【Key Responsibilities】
【Legal Support & Contract Management】
1 .Review and revise commercial contracts (e.g., sales agreements, NDAs, distribution and service agreements)
2. Provide legal input to internal stakeholders on contract-related questions and legal risks
3. Prepare legal training content (e.g., key clauses in sales agreements and NDAs, trade secret protection, personal data handling) and deliver sessions to business teams
4. Manage chop application, internal approvals, and document execution workflows
5. Maintain and update contract templates and clause libraries
【Compliance Operations】
1. Assist in local implementation of ZEISS Code of Conduct and compliance policies
2. Deliver compliance training sessions (e.g., anti-bribery, conflict of interest) and track completion records
3. Support due diligence and risk review processes (e.g., distributor, conflict check)
4. Maintain internal compliance documentation and policy version control
【Governance & Documentation】
1. Organize and update company registration and licensing records
2. Support preparation for internal audits and regional legal information requests
3. Assist with local privacy documentation and internal policy updates
【Digital & Content Management】
1. Maintain the Legal & Compliance SharePoint, including uploading and organizing policies, templates, FAQs, and training content
2. Ensure information consistency, link functionality, and content updates on a regular basis
【Qualifications】
1. Minimum 3 years of legal or compliance experience (in-house or law firm); Taiwan bar qualification is a plus
2. Strong understanding of commercial contracts and business communication practices
3. Passionate about translating legal and compliance concepts into clear, practical training materials
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills
5. Proficient in both Mandarin and English
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint (training can be provided)
