Associate Lead, Software Engineer

As an Associate Lead Software Engineer at Pagero - Part of Thomson Reuters, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software systems/applications for our global customers. You’ll work in a team environment alongside other talented engineers to deliver high quality products at scale. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive on solving complex problems, enjoy working collaboratively, have strong communication and leadership skills, and want to learn new technologies. About the Role

In this opportunity as an Associate Lead Software Engineer, you will:

Partner with stakeholders to architect scalable, robust software solutions with deep product understandingLead hands-on design and implementation initiatives, collaborating closely with product owners and development teamsChampion engineering excellence through comprehensive code reviews, testing strategies, and quality analysisEnforce industry’s best practices and development standards across all projectsGuide and mentor junior developers, fostering their professional growth through knowledge sharing and hands-on coachingProvide technical leadership that drives teams toward quality deliverables and timely project completionFacilitate Agile planning sessions with Product Owners, promoting software development best practices

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Associate Lead Software Engineer if your background includes:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or in any related field5+ years of hands-on software development experience with proven track record of successDemonstrated leadership experience in delivering complex software projectsAdvanced proficiency in JVM-based languagesInterest in working with Scala and a willingness to explore functional programming paradigms.Deep understanding of design patterns and architectural principlesHands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker)Expert-level knowledge of relational database managementComprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture including scalability, integration, security, and testing strategiesProficiency with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systemsCommitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeExperience with automated testing and quality assurance practicesFast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and environments.Agile mindset with the flexibility to handle shifting priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.
