We are seeking a talented Associate Investigator for its advanced packaging lab and fab facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
This candidate’s primary responsibility will be to support global project teams to deliver against project goals and timelines. Technical direction will come from experienced project leaders and technical leaders within ACP, who will assist as needed with prioritization, planning, and communication of project deliverables. This role will require hands-on execution of lab and clean room processing of material formulations, including coating, cure, metrology and analysis of wafer-level and panel-level material processing. Work to formulate new materials for testing, thermal analysis and sampling will also be required. These activities will support process window development, performance optimization, troubleshooting, formulation development and application testing across multiple steps of semiconductor fabrication.
This role will demand strong interpersonal relationships with other team members and require good communication and analytical processing of experimental data. The successful candidate will drive evaluation and characterization aspects of critical projects and assist in data analysis and interpretation/presentation of key results, internally.

This position will provide new product development support for ACP's growing dielectric portfolio and product development efforts.
Your Key Responsibilities:
The role will be responsible for providing technical support for ACP's dielectrics business, project teams, and customers. Support will be provided through extensive lab work and will require the ability to work across teams and functions within ACP to deliver solutions through hypothesis driven research and development. Technical support will include polymer and formulation development, methods development, coating and characterization, fab and cleanroom wafer and film processing, and troubleshooting/resolving issues concerning the use of our products in applications. Operate bench scale synthesis tools such as easyMax and rotovap to support lab scale synthesis under guidelines of principle investigator/chemist and conduct NMR data gathering.Operate material characterization tool such as DMA, TMA, TGA and TGA-SA, GPC, and 68SC-1 Instron, DSC to support formulation development and customer data gathering.Operate process equipment such as MEKi Laminator and Hot Roll Laminator to support film sample preparation and characterization.Operate photolithographic and fab process equipment to conduct material evaluations, DOEs, and process development. Operate dicing tools such as ADT ProDice 7200 to support wafer and PCB sample fabrication and application development.Appropriate documentation of work to share learnings and product/application knowledge with peers and customers is a plus.Data collection, interpretation, & documentation. Deliver presentations or reports that distil complex ideas into clear results and proposals communicate appropriately to influence internal audiences. Understand and follow appropriate EH&S standards, policies, and procedures applicable to their job. Lead by example in safety behaviors by promoting safe work habits.Qualifications:
Education: B.S. or associate’s degree in chemistry, physics, engineering or materials science or associate degree in a technical or scientific field with industrial lab experience with clean room + wafer level processing methods & tools.Previous cross-functional project experience in semiconductors is desirable.1-2 years of hands-on industrial experience in semiconductor fab or similar environmentFamiliarity with material characterization, wafer-level metrology, and/or thin film analysisExperience with thermal and mechanical analysis tools and techniquesWell-organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven team playerGood written and verbal communication skillsEnglish fluencyStrongly preferred:
