The Associate Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing engaging and effective digital, instructional materials from various reference materials (PowerPoint Decks, manuals, process documents, etc.). You will be collaborating with senior members of the Instructional Design and Knowledge Management (IDKM) Team, Business Unit POCs, subject-matter experts, and other members of the cross-functional team to develop and deliver high-quality learning materials that are compliant with the requirements and company branding guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in design and develop engaging e-learning materials that are relevant to the workplace and department context, and are compliant with Manulife’s branding and design guidelines
Assist in the design and development of engaging learning materials, including eLearning modules, job aids, and instructor-led training.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and translate it into effective learning experiences.
Support the team in organizing and maintaining course assets and documentation.
Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure instructional materials meet design standards.
Learn and apply instructional design principles and tools under the guidance of senior designers.
Required Qualifications:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Instructional Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong interest in instructional design and digital learning
Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
Excellent written/spoken communication skills
Highly coachable, with a growth mindset and willingness to receive feedback.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferable skills and experience that can put you at an advantage:
Familiarity with any eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate)
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Basic graphic design or multimedia editing skills
