Assistant Golf Professional
Salary: $50,000–$60,000

Belfair Property Owners Association is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our team.

Our golf program includes a   state-of-the-art Learning Center (ranked among the top 50 practice facilities in the country), 72,000 annual rounds, and over 100 member tournaments each year.

This pivotal role supports the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Tournament Coordinator in overseeing daily golf operations, delivering outstanding member and guest experiences, and managing golf programs and services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily golf operations, including tee sheet oversight, pace of play, and service standards. Provide leadership and supervision to golf shop staff, outside services, and instructional team. Organize and assist in executing tournaments, member events, and outings with seamless delivery. Actively engage with members on the course, practice facilities, and around the club to enhance relationships, anticipate needs, and create a welcoming environment. Assist with golf merchandise and operations when needed. Maintain adherence to club policies, procedures, and golf etiquette. Train, mentor, and develop staff through effective orientation and ongoing programs. Build and maintain positive relationships with members and guests, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Stay current on industry best practices and innovations to elevate the golf experience. Support agronomy efforts by coordinating with the maintenance team.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. PGA Class A Certification is preferred. 3–5 years of golf operations experience, ideally at a private club or resort. Proven leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Strong knowledge of golf shop operations, tournament management, and instruction. Proficiency with POS and golf technology systems, including tournament software. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods. Passion for the game of golf and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
