This role is ideal for a lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and design teams to bring innovative products to market while managing legal risk and compliance.What You’ll Do Serve as the primary legal advisor to product and engineering teams on the development and launch of new features and servicesProvide strategic and pragmatic guidance on a range of product-related issues including privacy, data protection, IP, consumer protection, and regulatory complianceDraft, review, and maintain user-facing legal documents, including Terms of Use, Privacy Notices, Acceptable Use Policies, and in-product disclosuresPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess risk and drive compliance solutions at every stage of the product lifecycleReview product-related public communications, including marketing claims, and terms of serviceSupport incident response teams when security or data privacy issues ariseStay current on relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, AI regulations) and translate them into actionable guidanceCollaborate with the broader legal team on commercial, privacy, and compliance initiatives Skills You’ll Need to Have:J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar5+ years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years at a reputable law firm with a focus on technology or privacyStrong experience drafting and updating Terms of Use, Privacy Notices, and other customer-facing legal contentDeep understanding of U.S. and international data privacy laws and digital product regulationsProven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authorityPractical, risk-balanced approach to legal problem-solvingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative spirit, low ego, and a sense of humorNice to Have Experience supporting products that use AI or machine learningKnowledge of open-source licensing and IP issues in a SaaS environmentInternational legal experience (especially in the EU, UK, or Canada)Benefits and Perks        An opportunity to do something great for yourself and the world A great work environment that supports growth, development, and most importantly having fun! Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage Competitive salary401k + company match Open Time Off Policy Employee Referral Bonus Program Wellness programs    Applicants have rights under the Federal Employment Laws:     Employee Polygraph Protection Act Know Your Rights: Discrimination is Illegal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) 

This role is paying between $225-$250k for the right candidate
