Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and experienced privacy attorney to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) as Associate General Counsel, Privacy. This role will lead the Company’s legal efforts in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging AI governance. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel to senior leadership, guide compliance with evolving privacy laws, and help shape the Company’s approach to responsible data use and innovation.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no immediate supervisory responsibilities but may supervise or co-supervise one attorney in the future.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; ANDTwelve (12) years of experience in privacy, data protection, cyber and AI related legal matters, with at least 5 years in private practice. Ideally, with experience inhouse in the education and/or technology sectors across two companies.Certificates and Licenses: Active state bar license

This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C., though there is a preference for candidates local to the DC areaCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $121, 200.75-$225,00 Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
