Corteva™ Agriscience™ has the responsibility to develop new active ingredients and new formulated products that are competitive with the current and future market conditions. The individual in the Associate Formulation Scientist position will support formulation research through sample preparation and characterization. They will capture scientific information in electronic lab notebook promptly.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with exploration, proof of concept, and development of novel formulation and delivery system technologies and concepts for new and registered active ingredients

• Assist with intellectual property (IP) capture and research report writing and presentation

• Support routine sample preparation and characterization

• Compliance with laboratory safety procedures

Other responsibilities include:

• Be able to run and operate sample characterization instrumentation

• Consistently applies sound scientific methods to solve technical problems.

• Assist with qualifying new active ingredient and raw material sources and supports shelf life date extensions for existing products.

What Skills You Need:

• Prior experience in research or manufacturing/engineering.

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

• Experience in a chemistry lab is desirable.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate information and data sharing with stakeholders.

Education:

• BS in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related fields

• Experience with the design and development of formulations is desirable

• This position is located in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
