Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is hiring an Associate or Experienced Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position is seeking engineers with Material Review and Disposition experience, to perform/support troubleshooting of non-conformances, RCCA technical analysis and provide solutions to non-conforming products. The position will work directly with cross-functional and production engineering teams to meet production program objectives.

Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.

This position is for A (1st) Shift (M-Thur 4x10)

Position Responsibilities: 

Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycleAnalyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformancesApplies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutionsProvides written dispositions for routine design non-conformancesParticipates in Material Review Boards (As Required)Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside supportRecommends simple non-destructive test procedures, tools, standardsEnsures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standardsDevelops and implements product/process improvementsThis position may require shift flexibility, based on business needsMust be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needsNon-standard work week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistryKnowledge of repair concepts and methodologies including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes2+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to repairs)Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

1+ year Material Review Board Certification experience2+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)Aerospace experience, fabrications, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience2+ years Production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge.Experience in solving simple to complex problems2+ years Electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodologyKnowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including Selective Solder and SMT2 + years Functional system level testing

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

Summary pay range:

Associate (Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050

Experienced (Level 3) $90,100 - $121,900
