As the Associate Engineering Manager – Test Lab Operations, you will lead a dynamic test lab operations team that supports critical product engineering testing across our Medical business units that impacts patients worldwide.

This is a fully onsite role based in Portage, MI; candidates must live within commuting distance and be onsite 4–5 days per week.
What you will doLead and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and coordinators to ensure efficient test lab operations
Oversee daily scheduling, resource planning, and execution of test activities aligned with business priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and allocate labor, equipment, and space
Drive production test engineering activities and support new product development testing
Ensure compliance with test lab procedures and regulatory standards
Manage test request administration, including documentation, approvals, and closure
Support long-term planning initiatives focused on innovation and operational excellence
Contribute to budget planning, cost tracking, and strategic direction of the test lab
What you needRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in engineering, operations, or testing
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across levels
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing or leading technical teams
Experience in production engineering, operations, or test automation
Proven ability to coach and develop team members through performance management
Familiarity with the healthcare industry and regulatory environment
