The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing **Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Component Maintenance Procedures (CMPs)** and other related publications, in accordance with aerospace standards such as **ATA iSpec 2200** , **S1000D** , and **ASD-STE100 (Simplified Technical English)** . The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong technical comprehension, and experience with industry-standard authoring and illustration tools. **Key Responsibilities:** + Create, revise, and review technical documentation such as: + **Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs)** + **Component Maintenance Procedures (CMPs)** + **Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs)** + **Service Bulletins (SBs)** + **Service Information Letters (SILs)** + **Test Files (T-Files), CDFs, and other Technical Publications** + Author **assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures** for aircraft components and systems. + Collaborate with **product design** and **manufacturing teams** to gather technical inputs and ensure accurate maintenance and repair documentation. + Ensure conformance of all documentation with industry standards such as **ATA iSpec 2200** , **ATA100** , and **S1000D** . + Apply **Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100)** for clarity and consistency in authored content. + Utilize **PLM tools** such as **Teamcenter** and **Enovia** for data management and document control. + Responsible for maintaining documentation **quality** , **accuracy** , and **project schedule adherence** . + Contribute to **productivity improvements** and **process standardization** across documentation projects. **Tools & Technical Skills:** + **Authoring Tools:** Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext Editor, Microsoft Office, S1000D-compliant applications + **Illustration Tools:** IsoDraw, 3DVIA, CATIA (advantageous) + Familiarity with **PLM Systems:** Teamcenter, Enovia + Solid understanding of **electronics, mechanical, or aerospace engineering principles** + Strong knowledge of **technical documentation standards:** + ATA iSpec 2200 + S1000D + ATA 100 + ASD-STE100 (Simplified Technical English) **Preferred Attributes:** + Excellent **written and verbal communication** skills + High level of **attention to detail** and commitment to quality + Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines + Proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills + Familiarity with **technical problem-solving standards and procedures** Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
