Associate Engineer, Simulation
Associate Engineer, Simulation Job Description Are you ready to help us build simulation capabilities for our production processes and manufacturing lines? Simulation is a major focus area for the global Grundfos organization, and a key part of our modularization journey. As our new Simulation student, it is up to you to help us to set optimal direction for the way we use simulation in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME). Join us on an exciting and innovative journey and help enhance our simulation capabilities across a global organization. **Drive simulation across AME and Operations** As Associate Engineer Simulation in our AME Simulation team, you will work alongside 8 dedicated colleagues in a highly collaborative environment. More specifically the centralised simulation team in Indjia (Serbia) consists of Specialists excelling within the simulation areas supported by the Simulation Manager. Here, you will drive the build-up of simulation capabilities within Grundfos AME on plant and line level, creating a digital twin of our production environment, in collaboration with simulation specialists across the functions of Operations. **Technical sections:** More specifically as our Associate Engineer Simulation for production resource you will build simulation models to optimize production process (i.e. Structural simulation, Injection molding simulation, Laser welding and gas flow simulation, AM simulation, etc…). As you drive and develop the use of simulation in AME and Grundfos Operations, you will quickly build a large network across Operations, Product Development and IT. You will participate in system and development-related simulation projects as you: - Create simulation models for Grundfos Operations with focus on production processes - Scope and execute activities to enhance our simulation accuracy and the extent to which simulation is applied - Collaborate with colleagues across AME and Development on designing components and equipment in parallel - Perform simulation tasks from across a global production setup - Collaborate with the Product Engineering organisation, ensuring a smooth flow between the product and production simulations - Support building a global network for simulation across Operations “You will be pioneer that will potentially revolutionise our way of thinking about simulation in Grundfos. You will be collaborating with a very wide network of colleagues to put simulation on the map,” says Manager Vedran Radinovic-Lukic. **Associate Engineer Simulation enthusiast who can make things happen** We are looking for a committed colleague who wants to make things happen. You have a passion for simulation, and you are just as happy working on developing the simulation capability as you are performing specific simulation tasks. You enjoy working with a large network of colleagues and have a natural flair for establishing strong working relations across a large global organisation. Moreover, you have: - A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering and knowledge of the mechanical or electronic industry - Experience with at least one production resources simulation tools for production resources such as (Ansys, Fluent, Moldex3D, FlexSim… ) - Familiarity with 3D CAD design software such as Catia V5 and V6 - Demonstrated experience in analysing, translating, synthesizing production systems and building simulation models according to those requirements - Solid foundation in layout design and planning disciplines, statistical methodologies, design of experiments, and correlation techniques - Natural curiosity and feel comfortable working in uncertain areas where knowledge needs to be developed - Willingness to learn different simulation tools - Good communication skills, and you speak and write English fluently **Additional information** If you have questions or want to know more about the position, please contact Manager, Vedran Radinović-Lukić +38163483725 If this job sounds appealing to you, please send your resume and cover letter today and no later than 20th August 2025 by clicking on “Apply”.
