Associate Directors for Chicago, IL location. Oversight of department residency, fellowship, medical student and continuing medical education activities, including educational and compliance coordination between attending physicians, residents, and institutional and regulatory administrative offices. Within Medical Education, administer human resource functions, including hiring, firing, demotion, training, mentorship, performance evaluation and staff development and leads the budget review and financial processes. Fosters a creative and supportive work environment to efficiently address and fulfill the ever-evolving needs associated with maintaining highly competitive, top-tier medical training programs. Management of Medical Education team operations, administration, and financials associated with a large multidisciplinary team as part of an academic pediatric medical center. Onboard physician leaders, including Chief Residents and participating in the annual recruitment process for trainees. Management of department revenue, expenses, external funds including grants and philanthropy, and the management of external contracts. Implement new policies and procedures, coordinate ACGME accreditation site visits, and maintain accreditation surveys. Lead large-scale projects, partner with stakeholders, and provide consultative feedback on recruitment branding. Supervise graduate medical education programs and coordinate tuition scholarship programs.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration or related field plus 5 years of experience in an academic/healthcare setting required. Required: 5 years with: multidisciplinary team management; Exp must include: academic healthcare setting; hiring, firing, demotion, training, mentorship, performance evaluation and staff development; Management of operations, administration, and financials associated with academic medical center; onboarding of physicians and participating in the annual recruitment process for trainees; management of revenue, expenses, external funds including grants and philanthropy, and the management of external contracts; implement new policies and procedures relevant to accreditation, maintain accreditation surveys; lead large-scale projects, partner with stakeholders, and provide consultative feedback on recruitment branding; supervising graduate medical education programs and coordinating tuition scholarship programs. Duties are onsite 3-4 days/week.

Pay Range
$ 129,501-$ 164,736 SalaryAt Lurie Children’s, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
