Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Associate Director will be a senior leader within the Finance and Accounting team. This position is responsible for and leads a team that ensures financial statements for Rain Bird Subsidiary companies are prepared according to appropriate accounting standards. A key aspect of this role is to ensure accurate financial information is available to cross functional business partners in a timely manner to assist in Company decision making.

Responsibilities Ensures that international subsidiaries’ policies, procedures and systems meet legal and business requirementsFinancial analysis and reporting requirements for Rain Bird subsidiaries, including business partnership with corresponding management to impact resultsAdvises management on accounting and control issues, ensuring adequate internal controlsManages the integration of international acquisitions into financial reportingCountry by Country and Master file reporting requirementsCollaboration with Corporate Controllership to lead the International Subsidiaries on the annual external audit requirementsOther Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as assigned Qualifications Undergraduate Accounting or related degree Minimum of 10 years’ experience, in finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibilityMinimum 5 years Management experience, leading a multi-location team is a plusExperience leading financial reporting in a global organization Experience leading external audit requirementsExperience leading communications cross functionally, including Executive LeadershipProfessional Accounting Certification (CMA or CPA preferred)

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s DegreeProficient in Spanish Experience with acquisitions
