Associate Director - Global Packaging & Labeling

We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world. **Responsibilities** The Associate Director of the Packaging & Labeling Group in Global Packaging & Robotics is responsible for leadership for the Packaging Engineers supporting commercial packaging support including laboratory testing, commercialization of packaging for new molecules, technical support for shipping/distribution, material support for new packaging lines/equipment, and on-going oversight across the packaging platforms. + Lead 10 direct reports and contracted/outsourced engineering resources + Recruit Package Engineering FTEs, Interns, and Co-ops for GPR & US Packaging Sites + Support the delivery of new packaging lines and assets at sites, with a mindset to driving standardization and continuous improvement + Effectively partner with key customers to include Regulatory, DDCS, IDM, Corporate Engineering organizations, Global Logistics, ETC, and plant sites + Work closely and align with product teams during both the development and on-going management of the product portfolio + Participation in applicable industry associations and consortiums to influence strategic direction, adoption of standards, etc. + Management and coordination of packaging platforms including technical agendas and priorities + Develop and maintain key operational metrics for the team + Ensures a safe and healthy work environment + Responsible for the creation and maintenance of packaging standards globally **Basic Qualifications** + Bachelor of Science Degree in Packaging Engineering, or technical discipline + 5+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical industry + Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment + Clear understanding and demonstration of packaging engineering activities (e.g., engineering commissioning, qualification, packaging-related regulations (cGMPs, etc.) ) + Knowledge of the development delivery models related to packaging design and commercialization. + Exposure to regulatory product registrations with a clear understanding of regulatory expectations **Additional Skills/ Preferences** + Consistently demonstrates the performance management leadership behaviors (ie. The anticipated wage for this position is $118,500 - $173,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
