Job Description and Responsibilities

The additional resource need and availability of the department will be guided in future by the decisions and results of the digital strategy. The digital strategy must be aligned with the digital strategy of Global Medical Scientific Affairs and in addition, the digital strategy must be aligned with the Customer Engagement Strategy of our company as well as with the IT-strategy and must be in line with all legal and compliance rules.

The role needs a deep understanding of medical processes and systems. The role applies technical, functional, business and management expertise to set and achieve operational objectives. The role ensures the good understanding by the team, identifies, and recognizes organizational barriers and obstacles and sends back to the Director Medical Operations the issues and proposes action plans when necessary.

The role is a very cross-functional role with a very close collaboration with DMAs, Medical Advisor, MSL and Medical Operation and Medical Services. Further, the role negotiates and ensures alignment with organizational leadership to accomplish digital objectives within the GMSA and HH organization. There is a close alignment and collaboration with the Global Medical Scientific Affairs Team.

You will make decisions that impact key processes, customer interaction, support to interfacing departments, resourcing and implementation of projects and technologies.

The role ensures good understanding by the team, identifies, and recognizes organizational barriers and obstacles and sends back to the Director Medical Operations the issues and proposes action plans when necessary.

Major processes to be managed by the role:

Further develop and implement the Customer Engagement & Digital Strategy Roadmap (e.g. CRM data strategy, digital communication channels, Website/Medical portal strategy, processes supported by AI)Point of contact for the Stakeholder Systematization: introduces new development opportunities, responsible for training, supports switch from Qlik to the Power-BI Dashboard. Close contact with customer facing colleagues and defining their needs and requirements.Support and implements the Medical Modernization Initiative at a local level, with focus on coordinating the workstream at the local level, defining and involving the right contacts for a smooth process, supporting the necessary mindset, and identifying learnings.Assessment of new systems and technologiesEnsure Medical representation and involvement within Germany for GHH digital initiatives and processesCollaborates closely with DDA and the business to ensure a country-aligned approach to systems that accurately reflects the medical needs within our frameworks.Deep understanding of CRM systems, also from the user perspective (e.g. VEEVA), and evaluation of potential improvements for Medical(Further) develop of medical business systems and technology strategy linked to company-wide systems such as VEEVA Medical CRM, ServiceCloud, PromoMatsTrouble shooting in case of outages or unexpected system failures in cooperation with GMA IT and also at the local level to repair the system and, if necessary, initiate the business continuity planServes as the primary liaison between local, regional, and global teams to drive innovation and ensure harmonization.Requirement gathering from Medical Affairs Business and close collaboration with Associate Director Medical SystemsContinuation of the digital Upskilling Journey, focus on GenAIDefinition and implementation of productivity improvements (training of all staff members, standardization where possible but flexibility where necessary) together with Associate Director Medical SystemsDevelopment of communication plansFinancial planning and budgetingData Privacy and works council Management
