The IT Third-Party Management team defines strategy, standards, tools, and best practices for how Tech@Lilly (T@L) engages with, manages, and optimizes third-party relationships. Third parties are essential to achieving Lilly’s business objectives. To maximize value, these relationships must be governed with strategic alignment, performance oversight, and proactive risk management.
What You’ll Be Doing:As the Third-Party Relationship Management Leader, you will lead a small team and drive the implementation of T@L’s reimagined third-party management strategy. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to internal leaders and external vendors—enabling effective relationship management, monitoring third-party performance, and ensuring third-party risk is appropriately managed.
How You’ll Succeed:Strategic & Business Acumen- Execute Tech@Lilly’s “re-imagined” third-party management strategy, including a centralized center of excellence, self-service support model, and AI-enabled data platform engine.
- Lead cost optimization, innovation, and value realization initiatives across Tech@Lilly third parties.
- Align supplier management strategy with business and IT objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to inform strategy.
Contract Expertise- Ensure tools and processes support effective contract negotiation, SLA/KPI tracking, and vendor risk management.
- Partner with procurement teams to support RFP/RFI processes, vendor evaluation, and onboarding.
IT Service & Technical Understanding- Leverage ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) to align supplier performance with service delivery.
- Coordinate supplier deliverables across IT domains including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and cloud.
- Analyze performance metrics, dashboards, and incident trends to drive improvements.
Risk, Compliance & Security- Collaborate with corporate risk functions (e.g., Working with Third Parties) to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Manage third-party risk across operational, financial, reputational, and cyber dimensions.
- Support contingency and exit planning to reduce dependency risks.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management- Build strategic partnerships with vendors, moving beyond transactional relationships.
- Provide guidance to Engagement Owners on managing third-party relationships.
- Resolve conflicts professionally and influence stakeholders across geographies and cultures.
Tech Enablement and Data Analytics- Use qualitative and quantitative data to assess vendor compliance, SLA achievement, and service quality.
- Develop and oversee digital agents that execute key processes
- Apply cost-benefit analysis to supplier proposals and renewals.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance team productivity and drive continuous improvement, delivering on increased automation quarterly
Leadership & Team Development- Communicate clear vision and direction to the team.
- Coach and mentor team members in negotiation, risk analysis, and relationship management.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with procurement, legal, security, and Tech@Lilly
- Lead organizational change through supplier transitions and technology shifts.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$123,000 - $180,400Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
