**Shape the Future with AECOM – Associate Director, Lead Mechanical Engineer**
**Location: Dublin, Galway, or Cork**
At AECOM, we believe infrastructure has the power to uplift communities and improve lives. We're looking for a **Lead Mechanical Engineer at Associate Director level** to join our growing team in Ireland. Based in one of our Dublin, Galway, or Cork offices, you’ll lead mechanical engineering on some of Ireland’s most impactful projects – from conception to delivery.
**Your Role:**
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will:
+ **Lead and manage** the mechanical engineering team across Ireland.
+ **Deliver** both stand-alone and multi-disciplinary projects with excellence.
+ **Mentor and support** engineers and technicians to grow their careers and capabilities.
+ **Build and maintain strong client relationships** , identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing ones.
+ **Act as Project Manager** on mechanical-led or multi-disciplinary projects.
+ **Drive innovation** , solving complex engineering challenges with creativity and expertise.

**What You’ll Bring:**
+ **Degree Qualified** – MEng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
+ **Chartered Engineer (CEng)** status.
+ **Proven Experience** – Strong track record delivering mechanical engineering projects in a consultancy or similar environment.
+ **Sector Expertise** – Experience across key sectors including **healthcare** , as well as **leisure, commercial,** and **higher education** .
