Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Responsible for designing, building and maintaining innovative decision support applications within the CFG Business which will enable us to deliver projects that enable business growth and enhance business flows.

What will you do?

Development: be an expert in the project’s tech stack (Java, Grid Gain, Cloud Computing)Support: offer our users the technical and business support that they expectBe an innovator: think outside the box and question processes so we’re always increasing efficiencyCollaborate: collaborate with other technology teams to promote code re-use and share design ideas to drive efficiencies within the groupTeam contributor: become a core part of the team where you will actively contribute in team ceremoniesSME: be an SME within the teamTake ownership of services within the ATOM domain

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering or any other major with focus on finance and programming.In-depth knowledge of the project’s tech stack primarily Java (Expert level), event driven architecture implementation, GridGain (Apache Ignite), API connectivity, cloud computing and RDBMSSelf starter – show the enthusiasm needed to be able to carry work items and go beyond what was originally asked forInnovator – show the curiosity needed to be able to try doing things in different ways thus always bringing an innovative approach to the teamUnderstand risk – show the ability to take decisions that may not always work out while mitigating for these appropriatelyKeen Learner – show the eagerness to learn new concepts both in the tech space but equally importantly in the business world to enable us to grow our partnership with the business users
