Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine The **Associate Director, Reporting Platforms & Data Management Strategy** will lead the program management and governance of a centralized analytics and reporting platform. This role is integral to building out, evolving and upgrading J&J’s approach to delivering insights and analytics capabilities within the Innovative Medicine U.S. organization. This role requires strong leadership and proven ability to work across a broad range of key stakeholders and strategic partners to deliver a re-imagined analytics and reporting platform across all engagement channels. The Associate Director will partner with a team of internal and external partners, including J&J technology services, to provide standard, intuitive, and accurate reporting via our J&J Commercial Analytics Platform. The Associate Director will work closely with the Strategic Insights & Analytics team, Data Engineering, Data Strategy, Marketing Ops and others in supporting the prioritization of analytics and business reporting projects across Innovative Medicine’s therapeutic areas. They will act as the operational lead and execute operational excellence practices for the J&J Commercial Analytics Platform across the StAT organization, internal JJT, and software partners, providing regular communications on the progress, enablement, and support operations related to this solution to Senior Leadership. The AD will also partner with procurement, internal StAT leadership and vendor partners to ensure the platform operates within budgetary means. The Associate Director will also evaluate business tools and technologies to further enable the J&J Commercial Analytics solution for our organization. They will work on consolidating and rationalizing reports within the platform and working with our internal teams and external partners to ensure we move towards a streamlined data and reporting solution with a vision to deploy services with speed and reduced cost. This role will oversee the ongoing processing and publishing of National and Sub-national dashboards and self-service tools while partnering with external partners to ensure a successful operational team through maintaining optimal support resource levels. Included in this role will be an additional responsibility of being the Data Product Delivery Manager for the ODP (One Data Platform) Medical Data Product. As an SME of this data product, they will ensure the vision and roadmap for the Data Product are delivered and meet stakeholder expectations and are responsible for release and sprint plans, ongoing operations, and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** Primary Responsibilities include: Manage the J&J Commercial Analytics Platform for the Innovative Medicine Commercial team. Assist teams in evolving and executing the consolidation of our reporting solution, aligning with the overall StAT organization strategy. + Manage a successful operational team to ensure on time accurate processing and publishing of dashboards and reports within the J&J Commercial Analytics Platform + Partner with commercial leadership to identify needs, oversee analytics and reporting design, creation and enhancements, testing, training and support efforts. + Lead a team of external partners (vendors) to build and maintain the Analytics Platform + Understand and evaluate impact of data events/changes on analytic systems and engage business process owners and data stewards to align on the action plan/next steps. + Lead and oversee the strategic expansion of the Analytics Platform to include new innovative reporting and analytics capabilities. + Make recommendations on improvement of reporting and data processing operations. + Research, reproduce and lead support case to resolution. + Apply in-depth troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify the root cause of issues. + Collaborate with technical support, development and consultants to prioritize and resolve complex technical issues. + Work with partners to document known solutions to internal and external knowledge base. + Provide meaningful insights to improve the customer experience for key stakeholders as well as optimize business decisions to the support team and other teams. + Provide effective leadership for staff: day-to-day administrative and technical direction of onshore and offshore personnel; work with vendor partner on assignment of staff personnel to appropriate functions/tasks/duties to ensure optimal resourcing. + Establish or improve procedures and controls, where necessary, to ensure that all services meet production schedules. + Responsible for connecting & analyzing product & operational data through the data pipeline. E.g.: publishing, delivery, availability + Responsible for assisting the support team on translating the data into dashboards in order to measure Sales and Marketing KPIs + Responsible for using data, dashboards to drive POV & build compelling presentations. + Work collaboratively with Operations, Upstream, Downstream and Partner Strategy teams; helping to prioritize business information needs. + Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports. + Evaluate if/how improvement efforts are affecting performance indicators and outcomes. Secondary Responsibilities include: Data Product Delivery Manager + Manage the product backlog, release and sprint plans for ongoing delivery of Data Product + Translate business needs into technical requirements. + Collaborate with Data Product Technical Manager to onboard and optimize data sources. + Define and support SIT/UAT with clear requirements and quality checks. + Lead UAT with SMEs to validate readiness and usability. + Maintain Marketplace content, user guides, and documentation. + Ensure alignment with governance and data quality standards. **Qualifications:** **Education:** + BA/BS undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences is required. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is an asset. **Experience and Skills:** + Validated experience of 7+ years in roles related to data management, analytics, insights or other commercial analytics areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. + Proficient in data sources/products and expertise in using Pharma industry syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors - IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, American Hospital Association (AHA), American Medical Association (AMA), Specialty Pharmacy, etc. + Preferred experience utilizing MDM tools sets such as Informatica, Reltio and the appropriate use and application within an MDM solution. + Strong analytical toolkit is required, including modern business intelligence tools and infrastructure that allow for effective management of large data, as is proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word + Preferred experience in Tableau and/or PowerBI + Proven results as a project manager in cross-functional technology projects required. + Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and business and data analysis with focus on MDM operational processes that cross multiple therapeutic areas. + Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including ability to simplify complex technical issues. + Customer focus with building relationships, issue identification and resolution, problem-solving and project management skills. + Detail-oriented and results-driven. + Ability to apply policies and standards consistently. + Vendor management (outsourced program management team) + Ability to work in the Titusville or Horsham office 3 days a week is required. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
