What is the Opportunity?
This role will be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of RBC’s global regulatory inventory. This second line of defense (2LOD) role is responsible for maintaining an enterprise-wide inventory of RBC’s regulatory obligations and serving as the subject matter expert on RBC’s Horizon Scanning, Applicability & Impact Assessment workflow processes, regulatory inventory, and associated vendor platforms.
What will you do?
Support the maintenance and expansion of RBC’s Regulatory Obligations Inventory and serve as the SME to program stakeholders for associated RegTech platformsMaintain a centralized regulatory inventory, including taxonomy alignment with products, services, business units, and laws/regulationsMonitor regulatory developments impacting RBC’s operations globally and coordinate with internal program stakeholders to overseeDevelop dashboards and reports for senior leadership and regulatory examiners to provide transparency on regulatory developments and compliance statusDevelop and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of the regulatory change management program and identify areas for improvementServe as primary point of contact with RegTech vendor to oversee platform enhancements and escalate matters requiring resolutionExecute compliance monitoring quality assurance reviews which audits the effectiveness of the internal controls as reflected in the related RCM program such as validating effectiveness of horizon scanning activitiesOversight and maintenance of RBC’s regulatory inventory (i.e. authoritative sources), remediation of data requiring enhancementAct as a subject matter expert on the Regulatory Content Standard and supporting procedures and processes
What do you need to succeed?
BA/BS Degree Required7-10 years of compliance (or equivalent) experience obtained in a financial institution, accounting, consultancy, or law firmCertifications such as CRCM is a plusJuris Doctor as plusFamiliar with regulations and compliance strategies and risk management; possesses and demonstrates expertise in the advisory, policy, change management, project management and operationsExpert on RegTech platforms such as Archer, CUBE or Compliance.aiExperience building out a legal / regulatory obligations libraryNice to Have
