POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The R&D Global Portfolio Strategy function is responsible for powering better R&D pipeline decision making. As the R&D Change Management Associate Director, you will:
Support implementation of the R&D Change Management Capability Build Strategy & Governance Model as well as the R&D Efficiency program . This role works with Change Leaders from all Functions and TAUs to standardize change management and enhance organizational adaptability.
Promote the use of the Matae change management platform, manage related reporting, and support third-party vendor selection, onboarding, and performance.
Ensure all our transformational initiatives, such as the R&D Efficiency Program, are successfully implemented, enabling Takeda’s growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide operational and administrative support to the R&D Change Management CoE and R&D Efficiency Program/Change Management functionEnable effective coordination of meetings, tools, and resources aligned with change management capability building & governance and R&D Efficiency Program/Change ManagementPartner with functional and Efficiency program leadership to support program management tasks, such as workshop coordination and other related activities.Administer the Matae change management platform and support toolkits and content developmentProvide support in execution of communications and trainingMaintain and regularly update CoE (Center of Excellence) libraries (e.g., templates, playbooks, training materials)Administer the Matae change management platform: manage user access, monitor usage, and support issue resolution or escalationAssist in the preparation and distribution of learning content and toolkit documentationTrack and summarize feedback from users and stakeholders to improve tools and resourcesSupport reporting and data compilation to inform decision-making and strategy refinementSupport project and change management activitiesCoordinate cross-functional rollout of change management approaches with Change Leaders and key stakeholdersCurate and lead delivery of change management training and integration of the Matae platform into R&D business rhythmsMonitor and report on change management outcomes and insights across programs and initiativesManage third-party vendors, including Functional Service Providers (FSPs), to ensure efficient use of contracting resources and alignment with internal standards & delivery expectationsCollaborate closely with the Center of Excellence Lead and R&D Change Leader Coalition to ensure strategic alignmentConduct regular change debt assessments to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and alignment with transformation goals (including distribution lists within change recipient groups)Stay current on trends in change management, program management, and communicationsIdentify and evaluate new opportunities, technologies, and partnerships to drive innovation and enhance the company’s competitive advantageSupport development of materials at key governance bodies (RMC, TET, BOD)EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.5+ years of experience in project coordination, administrative, and change management roles.Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industryDeep understanding of organizational change management methodologies and applications in pharmaceutical/R&D contextsFamiliarity with change management processes, platforms and tools, including analytics and reporting featuresProficiency with platforms used for project/change tracking and content managementExcellent communicator, able to persuasively convey both ideas and data, verbally and in writingDemonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across a matrixed global organizationOperate with autonomy in making strategic and operational decisions that impact the successful rollout of change initiatives across R&DAbility to incorporate feedback and ensure decisions are made swiftly to yield flawless execution Responsible for independently managing change strategy execution and related decisions across the R&D organizationFrequent engagement with Change Leaders, CoE (Center of Excellence) leadership, and senior R&D/Takeda enterprise stakeholdersComfortable challenging the status quo and bringing forward innovative solutionsAbility to take calculated risks implementing innovative solutions, accelerating time to marketVisionary and forward thinking with the ability to influence and effectively drive organizational change and continuous innovationThis position is currently classified as “ hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.

USA - MA - CambridgeU.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
