Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Associate Director, Procurement. Individual will be a key member of Strategic Sourcing team and will be responsible for providing oversight and direction for Procurement function and related daily operations. Individual will ensure that people, processes, and tools are effectively enabled to deliver efficiency, ease of use, adoption and value. Individual will manage the governance of overall process through stakeholder engagements, 3rd party resource management, service level assessments and leading improvement initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the Procurement process, programs, systems, and resources. Responsible for the timely processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier setups.

Managing procurement operations teams, ensuring seamless transitions, and optimizing operations using SAP Ariba and or Coupa systems.

Develop/Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and resolve issues. Manages stakeholders through timely reporting and escalations.

Partners with Sourcing and Accounts Payable team to identify synergies and drive improvements in Source-to-Pay process.

Manage 3rd party resources and ensure performance to SLAs.

Identifies program and system improvements, implements and manages software solutions for company-wide use. Owns training program and user acceptance to procurement policies, systems, and processes.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and Go-to person for process, systems and operations support.

Ensures P2P processes adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

Responsible for SOX/Policy compliance as it relates to operational processes, and ensuring P2P processes. Support audit process as needed.

Manage team performance through goal setting, ongoing support and talent development.

Provide support for Purchase Requisitions and Supplier setup processing, as needed, according to company policies/procedures.

 Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan. Support published corporate policies.  additional assignments per management’s direction.

Key Core Competencies

Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay/Source-to-Settle process

Experience working in SAP Ariba/Coupa Source-to-Pay platform. Implementation experience preferred

Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to devise creative solutions in order to overcome issues/roadblocks

Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure an error-free work product across multiple workstreams

Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Office Products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required

Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously, detail oriented.

Customer focused

Demonstrate coaching skill to develop team

High degree of organizational awareness, ability to connect the dots to understand all the interdependency and big picture

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree. (Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting -preferred)

Minimum 8 – 12 years (w/o Master’s) or 6 – 8 years (with Master’s) of relevant experience in procurement, supplier management, purchase order processing, inventory planning, or materials management

Experience with a Materials Resource Planning I Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) system required; Oracle iProcurement/SAP experience preferred; Coupa experience a plus

Experience working in a Pharmaceutical environment a plus

The base salary range for this role is $146,400 to $183,000. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state.  Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter.  Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
