What You Will Get To Do:
The candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of key reporting for Hybrid funds serviced by SS&C Fund Services Asia, ensuring that the NAVs and financial information are accurately reported on a timely basis within deadlines, and ensure strong internal controls are maintained in accordance with financial policies. The candidate should have a strong background in accounting for alternative investment funds, with a focus on private equity, proven client management skills, and the ability to manage and monitor client deliverable and deadlines. Additionally, individual is responsible for exercising sound judgment regarding the proper application of accounting principles to complex transactions, and is adept and both preparation and review of financial reports with experience in managing and coordinating year end and interim audits. The candidate will be expected to work closely with clients, external parties, and internal teams to ensure that service delivery is optimized and adheres to our Service Level Agreements, while ensuring that strong internal controls are maintained in accordance with financial policies. The candidate will also require strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities to support the fund accounting function, including coaching and development of staff.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and timely work product within specified timelines, and in coordination with other team membersDemonstrate strong knowledge of accounting, specifically with respect to alternative investment funds, with on Private EquityReview all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etc.Review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etc.Prepare/ review management fee calculations, update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models in line with the applicable fund termsReview investor allocations and capital account statementsReview capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor noticesReview financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedulesManage the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the client, and auditorsHandle daily/routine client information requestsProvide guidance and direction to junior staff on all technical and client-service-related topicsWhere applicable, support the tax team with information to prepare tax compliance/reportsHave a continuous process improvement mindsetSupport corporate goals and business/departmental initiatives

What You Will Bring:

7-9 years experience, preferably with fund administrator or audit backgroundMinimum 5 years in Private EquityAble to work independently and under tight deadlinesExperience in people management/leading a teamVery strong organizational and communication skillsAbility in taking initiatives in identifying opportunities to improve upon existing service model/flowKnowledge of Singapore FRS, IFRS and US GAAPAttention to detail and ability to multi-taskProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel skills, Geneva is considered a plus
