Job Description

The Position

Manages staff to provide efficient Payroll Services for Organon employees based in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. Oversees the development, implementation, and administration of cost-effective payroll processes across these corporate entities. Actively participates in HR Services Delivery Department as a leader supporting division and Company initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manages payroll staff and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Managing internal and external Company processes, as they relate to payroll, including ongoing supplier relationship management to agreed service levels (quantitative and qualitative) while driving a culture of service excellence.

Analyzes, audits, reconciles, and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure efficient payroll processing.

Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with Company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and regulations.

Acting as the payroll workstream, lead cross-functional projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestures.

Researches and interprets regulatory requirements and supports resolving tax, withholding, garnishment and wage/hour issues for payroll processing and responds to audit and regulatory inquiries.

Partnering with key stakeholders including HR Benefits and Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE), Labor Relations, Global Mobility, Legal, Finance, and other functional support areas on process improvements and policy maintenance.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. Alternatively a minimum of five years of experience in Payroll, Tax, benefit administration.

A minimum of two years of experience leading a team in a matrix organization.

Five years proven Payroll Management experience in an international environment.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and employee centric service focus.

Experience in designing and successfully implementing new and revised processes.

Knowledgeable of compliance requirements, Sarbanes Oxley and understanding of relevant General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.

Knowledge of relevant laws governing Payroll (e.g., tax, withholding and wage garnishment).

Strong problem-solving abilities. Is required to analyze issues and create action plans.

Track record of building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Knowledge of relevant software (MS-Office) with good working knowledge in Excel and Word.

Highly organized and able to prioritize workload and manage deadlines with attention to detail.

Experience in working in a multilateral/multinational team.

English, any other language is a plus.

Le ou la Directeur(trice) associé(e), Paie supervise une équipe responsable de fournir des services de paie efficaces pour les employés d’Organon situés aux États-Unis, à Porto Rico et au Canada. Il/elle est chargé(e) de développer, mettre en œuvre et administrer des processus de paie rentables pour ces entités. Il/elle joue également un rôle de leader au sein du département des services RH, en soutenant les initiatives de la division et de l’entreprise.

Gérer l’équipe de la paie et les processus afin d’assurer l’exactitude, la conformité et l’efficacité des opérations.

Superviser les processus internes et externes liés à la paie, y compris la gestion des relations avec les fournisseurs selon les niveaux de service convenus, tout en favorisant une culture d’excellence du service.

Analyser, auditer, rapprocher et résoudre des problèmes complexes liés à la paie et aux dossiers des employés.

Veiller à la conformité des rapports et paiements de paie avec les politiques de l’entreprise, les principes comptables généralement reconnus (GAAP) et les réglementations en vigueur.

Agir en tant que responsable du volet paie dans des projets transversaux tels que les fusions, acquisitions et cessions.

Rechercher et interpréter les exigences réglementaires, résoudre les questions fiscales, de retenues, de saisies sur salaire et de conformité aux lois sur les heures de travail, et répondre aux demandes d’audit.

Collaborer avec les parties prenantes clés (avantages sociaux, rémunération, relations de travail, mobilité internationale, juridique, finances, etc.) pour améliorer les processus et maintenir les politiques.

Exigences – Formation, expérience et compétences

Diplôme universitaire en finance, comptabilité ou dans un domaine connexe, ou minimum cinq ans d’expérience en paie, fiscalité ou administration des avantages sociaux.

Minimum deux ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipe dans une organisation matricielle.

Cinq ans d’expérience avérée en gestion de la paie dans un environnement international.

La certification professionnelle en paie (CPP) est un atout.

Excellentes compétences en communication et orientation vers le service aux employés.

Expérience dans la conception et la mise en œuvre de nouveaux processus ou dans la révision de processus existants.

Bonne connaissance des exigences de conformité, de la loi Sarbanes-Oxley, des principes comptables GAAP et des procédures comptables.

Connaissance des lois applicables à la paie (fiscalité, retenues à la source, saisies sur salaire).

Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes et en élaboration de plans d’action.

Capacité démontrée à établir des relations solides avec les parties prenantes internes et les partenaires externes.

Maîtrise des logiciels pertinents (MS Office), notamment Excel et Word.

Excellente organisation, capacité à gérer les priorités et à respecter les délais avec rigueur.

Expérience de travail au sein d’équipes multilatérales ou multinationales.

Maîtrise de l’anglais ; toute autre langue constitue un atout.
