The Associate Director Market Access Commercialization Analytics is a dynamic member of the Market Access (MAx) Commercialization Analytics team that partners very closely with the Global Market Access (MAx) organization, and their respective teams. They will partner closely with the full matrix team to coordinate and integrate data and insights across various analytical functions such as market research, and secondary data analytics to answer key Market Access questions for US and WW markets. This candidate will be responsible for working with their support resources to complete the standard BMS Business Insight & Analytics deliverables, as well as delivering high-quality solutions and answers to ad hoc requests/questions. The Associate Director will work with the MAx Commercialization Analytics lead to support senior leadership by providing analytic guidance and helping Market Access (and extended stakeholders) make informed strategic decisions and choices.
With guidance from the MAx Commercialization Analytics lead, is accountable for generating, presenting, defending, and maintaining standard Market Access deliverables, both ongoing and ad-hoc with a high degree of precision and insight.Provide day-to-day strategic guidance and support to US and WW Market Access stakeholders (Access Strategy & Pricing) and team to maximize the access strategy and potential in US and ex US markets.Proactively partners to identify knowledge gaps/needs, shape and properly define data, research & analytic questions to address business issues. Applies best-in-class, innovative, and appropriate data and methodologies to address key Market Access questions and leads the team when developing data, research and analytic solutions to address complex, strategic business issues and multi-faceted tactical plans.With guidance from MAx Commercialization Analytics Lead, design, develop and execute primary market research studies and analytic deliverables and market research and analytics budget. Proactively identify business needs and propose appropriate analytic and primary/secondary market research solutions. Deliver a clear set of recommendations from projects that maximize commercial impact.Consistently deliver timely customer-centric insights, analytics and market perspectives that unlock access potential and create competitive advantage while demonstrating strong understanding of the US and Global Access landscape, strong business acumen and proactively sharing learnings and facilitating use of best practices. Influence the pull-through of insights to action on the business in service of developing and delivering more medicines, to more patients, faster. Provides integrated, strategic perspectives and guidance to senior-level business stakeholders in close collaboration with other members of the Commercial Analytics therapeutic teams, Collaborate extensively within the Commercialization Analytics and broader matrix teams (Data Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, etc.) to identify logical and unbiased insights, and provide a unified view of the business.Develops and maintains a deep understanding of business priorities.Support the ad-hoc business-critical activities such as BD assessments, Earnings Prep documents, onboarding of senior leaders, etc.Lead, manage and mentor support resources.Understands, demonstrates, and drives adherence to all BMS operating policies.Role model BMS behaviors of Accountability, Passion, Urgency, Innovation, Inclusion, and Integrity. 5+ years of Biotech or Pharma experience in a Business Insight function, responsible for Analytics and/or Primary Market ResearchDeep knowledge of Market Access and Healthcare marketplace dynamicsBA/BS requiredMBA/Other Graduate degrees preferredStrong grasp of an individual analytical discipline, such as secondary data analytics, or marketing science, and primary market researchExtensive knowledge and use of both primary research and secondary data sourcesAbility to present and influence senior leaders on critical decisionsAbility to connect analytics with the overarching business questions, and understand the link between access strategy and analytic insightsManage ambiguity by questioning data and/or stakeholder for further nuanced information.Ability to operate on less than perfect data, by having a sound logical framework.Demonstrate a continuous commitment to the QC process to ensure quality of deliverables meets or exceeds the Market Access teams’ standardsExperience in BMS specific therapeutic areas is preferredThe starting compensation for this job is a range from $167,540 - $203,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
