Position Overview
The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing the effective short- and long-term initiatives supporting Brand strategies. There is a strong focus on longer term strategic planning, identifying and cementing synergies across brands and external partnership opportunities.
The Senior Brand Manager role sits within the Oncology team and reports to the Oncology Marketing Lead.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the Brand at the different stages of the life cycle.
Achievement of sales targets and management of promotional budgets.
Driving analyses and strategic planning to optimise the brand.
Monitoring and analyzing market trends and taking appropriate action to leverage or address these.
Competitor intelligence analysis and the incorporation of insights into brand strategies.
Monitor sales performance by preparing sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations and inventory control.
Coordinating the development of marketing objectives, strategies, advertising and promotion programs that build the intrinsic value of our company brand.
Ensuring the effective implementation of strategies and tactics, tracking, evaluating and responding as required.
Effectively managing the promotional budget and deploying resources as and when necessary to optimize the business.
Effective leadership of cross functional teams to ensure that objectives are aligned for the achievement of business goals.
Responsible for Key Opinion Leader management and development.
Ensuring all business activity complies with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
Key competencies, skills & experience required
Bachelor's Degree qualification or higher.
5-7 years' experience in product/brand management in the pharmaceutical industry.
Expert knowledge and demonstrable experience of brand life cycle management.
Strategic marketing and planning experience.
Planning and project management skills, with previous experience managing multiple projects.
Strong customer focus.
Strong results focus.
Comfort with ambiguity.
A growth mindset and agility across all aspects of the role.
Effective judgement and leadership.
An understanding of regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder expectations.
Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to effectively work with cross-functional/virtual teams.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Change management experience.
Strong leadership skills, including experience influencing and coaching team members.
