**We are searching for the best talent for an Associate Director, Global Sourcing Activations role to be in New Brunswick, NJ, Boston, MA, or San Francisco, CA,**
**Purpose:**
This role will serve two functions: **[1]** Ideate and implement globally focused scientific sourcing activation plans and events designed to attract strategic partners, generate leads and source breakthrough innovations to Johnson & Johnson Innovation. This role will be responsible for the implementation of Global Sourcing Campaigns in line with J&J Innovative Medicine priorities and will develop a robust playbook for team members to leverage throughout their regions. **[2]** Lead critical practices related to operational excellence, marketing plans, curation of templates and playbooks for new campaign launches, business performance tracking, and multi-channel marketing. Assuring optimal approaches to support strategic goals of the JJI.
**You will be responsible for:**
+ partnering with Global Scientific Sourcing and J&J Innovative Medicine to design comprehensive global scientific sourcing campaigns. Designing and delivering globally focused strategic sourcing and scientific activation plans, such as seminars, symposiums etc., including leadership of JJI presence at J&J Innovative Medicine activities designed to attract strategic partners, generate leads and source breakthrough innovations, aligned with J&J Innovative Medicine strategies.
+ From the Global Hub, supporting Regional teams in Scientific Activation and interactions with J&J Innovative Medicine R&D and communication leads to ensure early innovation efforts are aligned and integrated with broader sector / therapeutic area communication initiatives.
+ driving strategy initiatives, helping to shape the future of our organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize insights and data to inform business decisions. Influence the development of strategic plans and initiatives based on external insights, market analysis, and business objectives.
+ driving operational excellence by developing and implementing Global processes and procedures to streamline marketing operations regionally. Create internal engagement plans for global team to enhance awareness and onboarding of protocols and best practices. Develop central approach/capabilities for regional teams to deploy (e.g. templates, playbooks including online file sharing, governance, audit and maintenance schedule).
+ acting as a subject matter expert on market trends, strategic approaches, internal systems and protocols, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategy initiatives, making recommendations as needed to drive optimal outcomes for the organization.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a health-related discipline is required
+ A PhD in a Biological Science subject is highly preferred
**Required:**
+ A minimum of 7 years of brand/product marketing and events experience is required, ideally with a focus on life science or healthcare
+ Strong familiarity with variety of marketing tools and approaches to drive business results is required
+ Experience developing program content and advertising is required, translating R&D requirements into marketing/activation campaigns is required
+ Analytical use of data and strong writing skills is required
+ Customer acquisition methodologies and customer service experience is required
+ Good people skills, able to influence management and work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment is required
+ Team leadership and management experience, inclusive leadership aligned with our Johnson & Johnson Leadership Imperatives is required
+ This position may require up to 25% domestic or international travel may be required
**Preferred:**
+ Work history in oncology, neuroscience, immunology categories is preferred
+ Understanding of start-up ecosystem is preferred
+ Experience in strategic consulting or agency is preferred
+ Experience within a life science and/or healthcare setting, or industry association is preferred
+ Experience in event management tools and online tools is preferred
+ Experience in strategy development and management of social media is preferred
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000
The anticipated base pay range for this position in the Bay Area is $138,000 to $238,050
The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

**Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:**
+ Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
+ Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
+ Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
+ Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
