Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Field Content Capabilities is responsible for leading, managing & optimizing the content strategy, execution and operations for the field channel globally across all content formats. This role is crucial in ensuring that content is relevant, engaging, and effectively delivered to support sales objectives and drive engagement within that particular channel. The job responsibilities will entail leading channel & content format standards/guidelines (in line with compliance needs), governance, op models, change management, execution, operations & performance management to continuously amplify customer engagement & experience. The said individual in role will need to work closely with a cross-matrix, global team of business stakeholders, BI&T partners and external vendors to ensure the content strategy is pulled through using authoring, testing & deployment tools/platforms that meet the needs of our customers and enable impactful experiences across content formats of the field channels.

The role will also be responsible for shaping the strategic roadmap for the digital solutions (i.e. platforms/tools) that would be leveraged to deliver engaging content experiences (across formats like but not limited to IVA, FTE, Video, 2-way Messaging etc.) for the field channel. The individual would need to have strong hands-on experience to manage breadth & depth of the digital platforms leading / prioritizing Book of Work, Co-manage the backlog and ensure overall execution of roadmap to meet business goals & objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Strategy Development and Execution:

Define, develop and execute comprehensive content strategies for the field channel to achieve business goals & objectives.

Identify and prioritize key initiatives and projects that will amplify customer engagement & experience.

Develop comprehensive business case(s) in line with the above to support business outcomes of new/enhanced field content capabilities.   

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand/translate the business requirements into technical specifications to be able to execute (incl. design, development, testing, deployment & continuous measurement) and deliver for the end customer.

Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of new features and enhancements for the platforms.

Customer-Centric Approach:

Deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors to create personalized and engaging digital experiences & commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Channel Management:

Be the single point of contact for all field content capabilities including new & ongoing program/project execution as well as ongoing operations for any service requests, issues or incidents.

Lead the overall channel & platform/tools strategy incl. solution architecture and long-term (12-36 month) roadmap

Oversee the management and optimization of content delivered for the field channel, across all content formats like but not limited to IVA, FTE, 2-Way Messaging (Whatsapp, LINE, WeChat) etc.

Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.

Content Management:

Plan, create, and manage digital content to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.

Collaborate with content creators to develop high-quality, relevant, and engaging content.

Ensure all deployments follow release management processes/schedule.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Proficiency in using data and analytics to monitor/measure performance of field content

identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.

Ability to interpret complex data, generate regular reports on key metrics, present actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, sales, IT) and external partners (e.g., agencies, vendors) to ensure alignment and successful execution of field content initiatives.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and results.

Collaborate and partner with local, regional and global colleagues to drive the adoption and enablement of new capabilities by effective business process design, change management, documentation & end user training.

Provide ongoing guidance and support to the platform users by helping troubleshoot issues/challenges.

Leadership and Team Management:

Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate internal & cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Budget Management:

Manage the overall budget, ensuring efficient use of platform/tools & appropriate allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

Execute & manage IT vendor contract(s) and Service Order(s) as needed

Track and report on budget performance, making adjustments as needed.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest digital trends, technologies, and best practices.

Embed AI into the day to day ways of working.

Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve field content performance.

Demonstrate the ability to identify high value differentiating capabilities when making new platform choices.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement such as increasing productivity or cost savings throughout the delivery process

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all platform/tool features meet standards (security, privacy and compliance) and manage “health” and technical quality of the same.

Ensure all content-related activities on these platforms & tools comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with field channel content.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field

10+ years of experience in IT project management, product management or platform ownership

5+ years of experience in content strategy, governance, publishing and authoring platforms, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry

Experience with Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM, IVA/FTE Content Authoring (Viseven eWizard / Anthill / ShamanGo etc.) & 2-Way Messaging (Whatsapp, Line, WeChat etc.) tools

Strong leadership, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Prior experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industry

Demonstrated strength in partnering with internal/external contacts (agencies, marketers, IT vendors)

Demonstrated ability to manage large teams across business and technical areas

Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment and to influence adoption of new thinking

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; effective manager of people and strong team-building skills

Strong hands-on experience on cross-platform digital solutions

Possess certifications in digital platform development and implementation or similar areas

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $175,000 - $190,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. 

Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
