Job Description
As Associate Director, Enterprise Risk Policy (ERP), you will be part of the team that champions the enterprise-wide implementation of the RBC Enterprise Risk Policy Management Requirements (GRM-RP5) and contribute to fostering a culture of policy awareness and adherence across RBC.
Specifically, you will design, develop, lead and/or implement enterprise-wide policy management strategic initiatives and provide policy governance advisory services to policy governance centres and partners across the organization and all lines of defence.
What will you do?
Design, develop, lead, and/or implement various ERP strategic initiatives including the following:Enterprise-wide policy adherence monitoring program to enable reasonable assurance of policy adherence and reporting and monitoring of policy exceptions and violations.Ongoing implementation of and advisory on the target operating model for Policy Governance as well as related business-as-usual implementation of GRM-RP5.Policy management/governance enablement through technology-driven tools.Business-as-usual GRM-RP5 policy adherence and implementation program.Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with ERP’s partners, including other centres of policy governance and policy management teams across the bank, to help ensure ERP’s strategic initiatives are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and cohesive with other risk management programs (e.g., issue management, risk and control self assessment (RCSA)) across the bank.What do you need to succeed?
Must-Haves:
University degree5+ years of experience in policy management/governance and/or related governance functionVery good understanding of policy management requirements and challenges at RBC, including regulatory expectations, and/or best practices across industriesIntellectual curiosity, global and strategic mindset with ability to think conceptually and creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and/or find solutions to complex problemsProven ability to drive results, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in an evolving environmentExceptional people skills: ability to collaborate effectively, draw out diverse views, and influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve greater resultsAbility to work independently and in an organized mannerExcellent written and oral communication skillsVery strong problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power PointNice-to-Haves:
Project management experience and/or project management designationKnowledge of / experience in policy management toolsStrong presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior management and/or governance forumsFamiliarity with strategic technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analyticsWhat’s in it for you?
