**Associate Director, EHS** Contracts/Outsourcing Springfield, MO, US Pay Rate Low: 120,000 | Pay Rate High: 150,000 + Added - 18/08/2025 Apply for Job We are seeking an experienced **Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager** to lead compliance, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a track record of building effective safety programs. Located in Springfield, MO **This is a contract position** **Pay:** $120k-150k **Responsibilities** _Site Audits and Compliance_ + Lead site audits, risk assessments, and corrective action activities to ensure company and regulatory compliance. _Regulatory Knowledge, Compliance, and Record Keeping_ + Maintain knowledge of applicable state and federal regulatory requirements for safety, hazardous waste, and industrial hygiene. + Ensure completion of regulatory documents, reports, and recordkeeping requirements. _Emergency Preparedness_ + Ensure the facility is prepared to respond to incidents, emergencies, and other unexpected events. _Hazardous Waste and Industrial Hygiene Programs_ + Oversee hazardous waste program compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. + Submit all required reports and fees related to hazardous waste disposal. + Lead the development and oversight of the Industrial Hygiene program. _Process Safety and Collaboration_ + Partner with plant leadership and scientific staff to integrate process safety considerations into operations. + Ensure appropriate safety measures, from providing PPE to conducting full safety assessments of projects. _Leadership and Safety Training_ + Train, mentor, and supervise EHS staff. + Conduct comprehensive employee and contractor safety orientations. + Develop and implement safety policies, campaigns, and training programs in collaboration with operational leadership. + Ensure all safety training is documented, reviewed, and updated for compliance and timeliness. _Continuous Improvement_ + Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost savings related to safety and environmental programs. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent industrial experience. + Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in a professional management role.
