Associate Director, Direct Procurement

Job Description

The Position

The Associate Director, Direct Procurement Lead within Source to Settle will be responsible for the analysis, design and configuration related to Direct Procurement processes, including but not limited to Subcontracting, Intercompany, Intracompany, contracts, supplier collaboration, MRO, Inbound Logistics, Inventory Management as well as integration with Invoice processing systems, Planning systems and Master Data.

He/she will be the primary contributor defining solution strategy, design principles, and ensuring the alignment between the business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, as the point person accountable for designing and approving solutions, while ensuring compliance to validation activities in a heavily regulated GxP environment. A key function of this role is the ability to partner successfully with 3rd party vendors, system integrators, SaaS vendors and internal team leads to ensure appropriate integration of processes and technologies across the ERP platform.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy for Direct Procurement & Intercompany /Intracompany solution with S/4 HANA, Ariba SCC.

Own the solution design and be the Steward for any Enhancements or Improvements –identify options, work with other solution delivery leads for impact assessments, create the business case with recommendations.

Working and managing the Delivery partners for development, integration, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation and operability of solutions.

Prepare, review and sign-off on functional and technical designs.

Lead testing effort in development and quality environments. Guide users in UAT

Lead interactions with Business functions, Global Process Owner, Procurement to evaluate improvement opportunities.

Work with System Integrators (SI), 3rd party vendors, SaaS partners to identify, evaluate and enable new technology products for the Source to Settle platform.

Partner closely with Source to Settle team members to foster collaboration, learning mindset and create a culture of experimentation and innovation.

Be actively involved in the solution implementation to ensure that solutions are accurately scoped and delivered in line with business partner expectations. Be hands on, when needed.

Prepare and deliver demonstrations/presentations in support of implementation.

Comfortable working in an international environment where you have to collaborate with a team remotely.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience is required.                                      

A total of at least 10 years of SAP ERP experience, with Procurement and Logistics integration experience, 3+ in SAP S/4 HANA preferred.

A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with S/4 HANA, Cloud applications like Ariba Supply Chain collaboration, etc.

Understanding of procurement interfaces

Experience with implementing RICEFW and user experience using SAP FIORI apps.

Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to create and sustain meaningful relationships.

Strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively articulate and communicate findings and recommendations to the senior management team.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

10+ years financial function within Direct Procurement solution within an IT organization.

5+ years working with System Integrators, 3rd Party or SaaS solution vendors.

Must possess excellent functional, business and technical skills in configuration, integration and end to end implementation /roll outs of Source to Pay solutions in multi-country implementation.

Must have worked in development, configuration and testing environments.
