The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting and challenging opening for an **Associate Director, Contracts** within the rapidly growing Medium Range Air Defense portfolio to lead key new capture areas and programs in execution. Our portfolio includes DoD, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) opportunities. The MRAD program area includes the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) contracts. **What You Will Do**
+ Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
+ Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
+ Provide leadership to Contracts team of 4-6 professionals for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day to day administration
+ Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
+ Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying critical thinking, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
+ Provide support on complex negotiations across all stages of the acquisition lifecycle (development, production, sustainment, etc.)
+ Have the ability to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions
+ Travel is anticipated 2-3 times per year to customer locations
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
+ Experience with U.S. Government defense contracts management and negotiations
+ Experience in leading and/or developing Contracts professionals which may include coaching, mentoring, and teaching
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
+ Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
+ Proven ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
+ Demonstrated experience supporting DoD, FMS, and DCS proposals, negotiations, and program execution

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
