Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The group annuity line of business is seeking a high-performance leader to drive business growth strategies by increasing bidding capabilities and controlling operational costs when scaling the business. The business requires a candidate who is dynamic and has strong technical expertise with project management skills.  This role will be instrumental in achieving operational excellence and supporting business insights through system development prioritization and enhancing administrative limitations.

What will you do? 

• You will lead the development of automated tools for the pricing team to scale and drive efficiency. Your ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations will be essential in this role.

•You will contribute to extending our bidding capabilities through project management which will involve overseeing quote tasks to guarantee completion within established deadlines, facilitating joint planning with clients, and raising and tracking issues to ensure timely resolution. You will work closely with the pricing team to ensure that deliverables achieve the desired business results, enabling value creation and driving business growth.

• You will be responsible for maximizing enterprise connectivity and synergies through technology. You will explore and adopt best practices from other teams, improving the transition of information between functional teams and exploring AI solutions used within our organization. You will also seek out industry trends and organizational knowledge to understand alternative approaches and solutions, driving innovation and improvement within our team. Your ability to think strategically, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive change will be essential in this role.

•You will stay informed on market trends, analyze market and internal data to add meaningful information for internal reporting to executives. 

• As a leader and developer of talent, you will set direction for the team, coach and mentor team members to help them achieve their full potential. You will guide people through changes, promote innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implementing best practices. Your ability to inspire and motivate others, build strong relationships, and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement will be essential in this role, as you work to build a high-performing team.

What will you need to succeed?

Must have

•At least 5 years of progressive project-related experience

•Undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience (preferred)

•Strong knowledge on Agile delivery methodologies including requirement gathering, test case development, deployment, functionality testing, post-implementation validation, production defect process etc. 

•Strong analytic skills to identify patterns and pinpoint the root cause of issues

•Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to articulate to executives, vendors, business units etc.

•A good understanding of current technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, VBA, Python

Nice to have

• Knowledge of pension/group annuity business, legislation and operations

• Experience working with AI
