Job Description This position is a critical leadership role in AbbVie’s Operations & Finance Business Technology Solutions (BTS) organization, as part of the Operations & Finance BTS Delivery & Performance Excellence (DPE) organization. The primary goal is to lead the continual assessment of delivery and performance across the Operations & Finance BTS organization, and derive key insights that influence strategic decisions and improve operational effectiveness. Responsibilities + Lead continual evaluation of project and organizational performance using data & metrics, and provide key findings to leadership for potential optimization/improvement initiatives. + Own and advance organizational KPI monitoring through dashboards and ad-hoc analytics. + Work closely with senior leadership team to evaluate strategic investment landscape and 3rd party partnerships. + Partner with the Business Management Office (BMO) and BTS Finance teams to improve various financial planning process/cycles and help ensure portfolio of investments are properly aligned with critical priorities. + Establish and execute frameworks for capturing both ongoing process execution and spend metrics, suitable for periodic variance tracking against internal BTS priorities, and benchmarking against external industry peers. + Manage team of delivery/agile professionals, ensuring consistent delivery practices are enforced. + Drive maturity and standardization of project/program delivery processes, including project manager onboarding and training, PM and Delivery Lead roles and responsibilities, governance, health metrics/assessments, and project financials. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred. + 7+ years experience in project management. Experience with vendor engagements and/or 3rd party implementation partners preferred. + Must have experience with project and/or functional budgeting. + Key competencies include: knowledge of pharma industry, preferably in IT. International mindset and enterprise thinking with ability to quickly build credibility within the organization. Strong communication skills. Expertise in development and implementation of processes for metrics collection and reporting. + Must be comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrate problem solving and creative thinking skills, and ability to develop models and reporting dashboards. + People leadership, including performance management and development. + Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience.
