Functional Description:
Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) is a global organization that sits within Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) and is American Express’ marketing services center of excellence with the charter of driving high quality, customer-first marketing that accelerates business growth through optimized go-to-market solutions and the development of best-in-class MarTech products & processes.
Purpose of the role:
The Analyst will be part of product development team and be responsible for enhancing and supporting Eligibility and Targeting platforms for US Customer marketing. We are looking for a candidate with proficiency in process improvement, capability/ product management, and project management. Specific activities will include working closely with business and tech to define business requirements, designing process / capability changes, and engaging stakeholders to drive change management.
Responsibilities:
· Product owner for shaping strategic decisions and executing the marketing capabilities roadmap.
· Contribute strategic insights & forward-thinking ideas to evolve the vision and road map for the product.
· Communicating with stakeholders across the board, including business partners, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
· Leading discussions with technologies and business partners during capability development life cycle, including end to end testing of the product/ feature.
· Ensure a healthy Product Backlog aligned across product and tech teams.
· Active involvement in Program Increment (PI) planning process. Ensure scrum team backlog is prioritized and updated. Define stories and providing necessary clarifications to assist with story estimation and sequencing.
Past Experience and Academic Background:
· 1-3 Years of Systems / Programming, Product / Capability management & Project Management Experience; managing projects from inception to implementation.
· Strong knowledge of Big Data enterprise architecture & integration and hands-on experience with Big Data tools and platforms - Hadoop, SQL/Hive, Spark/PySpark, Big Query etc.
· Strong intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate.
· Ability to both take direction and initiative to proactively develop solutions, and work in complex, high-profile projects end-to-end.
· Excellent Interpersonal skills, Multitasking, and Thought-leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
· Excellent Communication, Collaboration, and Change Management skills.
· Familiarity with Google Could Platform and Adobe/Salesforce Customer Data Platforms will be a plus.
· Experience with Agile, Scrum, Big Data, Cloud is preferred.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information security, or any other relevant qualification
