General Purpose of Job
The Associate Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the digital promotion of Milwaukee Magazine, its content, its brand and its clients through email, social and web platforms. Reporting to the brand’s Associate Publisher, and collaborating with numerous team members, the Associate Digital Marketing Coordinator oversees the brand’s social media, utilizing it to build community and promote the magazine and its events. This includes social posts, stories and reels. Additionally, this position works with clients to develop and execute paid Instagram posts and creates reports on the campaign results. The role extends beyond the digital realm to provide support for the brand’s high-profile events. This is a part-time position requiring 20-25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and oversee a monthly social media content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
+ Plan, schedule and create social media posts promoting content from the print magazine, events and the brand
+ Execute sponsored posts, including working with clients on creating, proofing and revising posts, and following up with reporting
+ Brainstorm, plan and create original content and posts, including Instagram reels
+ Oversee the marketing of our brand on MilwaukeeMag.com
+ Create and update pages for magazine events and nomination-based award programs and reader surveys/voting such as Best of Milwaukee
+ Monitor performance and analytics for social media accounts and sponsored content, including social media and e-blasts. Make actionable data-driven recommendations for improvement.
+ Manage the magazine’s in-house and client email marketing products
+ Executing marketing and circulation promotions for the magazine
+ Executing client-sponsored e-blasts, including working with clients on creating, proofing and revising posts
+ In-person event support, including event photography, video creation, and live social media coverage.
+ Grow our online community through engagement and timely response to digital comments and messages.
Job Requirements
+ Education - bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ Experience - 2 to 4 years in a social media or marketing position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Solid writing and copyediting skills
+ Knowledge of Associated Press Style Book
+ Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, social media analytics, trends, and best practices.
+ Proficiency with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and email marketing systems
+ Ability to edit video
