Primary Responsibilities
· Develops and operates modern data engineering solutions to meet key business objectives
· Contributes to generic frameworks for data ingestion, data processing, data integrations, and data governance
· Follows best practices for software design, architecture, and implementation
· Leverages monitoring tools/processes to ensure platform stability and operational SLAs
· Extends DevOps capabilities for deploying data solutions
· Supports creation and adoption of data assets for the organization
· Works with product owners to address or prevent common pitfalls
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, or related field
· Minimum 1+ years of experience in role delivering and supporting software and data engineering capabilities.
· Exposure to design and software programming development (design patterns, framework development, etc)
· Good in core Python programming language skills (not limited to PySpark or analytical libraries)
· Good SQL development and analytical skills
· Knowledge of automated code testing (pytest / unittest) and data testing (great expectations / dbt / etc)
· Exposure with analytical tools & services (preferably dbt, Snowflake/BigQuery, Tableau/PowerBI)
Domain Expertise
· 1+ years of working building enterprise data solutions
· Proven experience creating data assets used in mission-critical applications
· Experienced in Agile methodologies
