Associate Cyber Security Test Engineer Job Locations UK-Yorkshire-Hull ID 2025-16404 Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Associate Cyber Security Test Engineerto join our rapidly expanding team in Hull. As a member of the operations team, the cyber security engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.  This role will focus on exciting new areas such as cyber security, smart energy and matter technology.

 

Responsibilities Initial activities will relate to testing of Cyber Security, Zigbee and Matter protocolsTo perform testing to proceduresBecome familiar with test equipment functions, measurement and calibration techniquesMaintain a technical logbookRecord results of tests on the prescribed result sheetsPrepare test reports as laid down in procedure manualInteract with clients during testing to inform them of test results and request required test informationEnsure that commercial confidentiality is maintainedCarry out any other reasonable duty as directed by the Department Manager – Smart TechnologyOccasional business travel may be required both domestic and international. Skills / Qualifications University degree in computing, programming, IT or equivalent work experienceInterest in the area of cyber security, smart energy and other emerging technologiesExperience with programming languages such as Phyton, JavaScript, Java, C+Familiar with Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) processes would be an advantage
