As a Associate Course Developer, you'll be an essential part of the Ping Identity training development team, helping create engaging learning content for our customers, partners, and staff.
You'll contribute to courses, certifications, and workshops that explain Ping Identity product capabilities and features, specifically focusing on "fundamentals," "Introduction," and "Getting Started" materials for developers, system integrators, and system administrators.
Your work directly supports our mission to deliver high-quality, hands-on technical curriculum globally, ensuring users can fully leverage our products. You'll work closely with senior developers and subject matter experts, reporting to the Senior Manager, Certification and Curriculum Development.
Responsibilities Assist in creating engaging, hands-on, task-based training resources for specific technical audiences, coordinating with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy. Contribute to the development of comprehensive learning materials, including student training guides, workbooks, lab environments, certification questions, and instructor presentation decks, for foundational courses. Migrate content from external resources into existing development tools, ensuring adherence to quality and style standards. Help maintain and enhance existing content by implementing necessary adjustments and releasing timely updates based on learner feedback. Provide technical assistance by answering student inquiries via the Ping Identity Training ticketing system for courses you contribute to, escalating complex issues as needed. Support technical marketing initiatives for Ping Identity Training with content like Q&As, webinars, social media posts, and short videos. Contribute to initiatives and projects that drive alignment with business strategy. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience. Some experience with technical training learning material design and development, including online virtual labs, or a strong desire to learn. Foundational understanding of instructional design principles. Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and effective training under guidance. An understanding of the responsibilities of software developers, integrators, and system administrators, and the ability to review content from a student's point of view. Developing strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills. Familiarity with content development authoring tools such as iSpring and Markdown, or a willingness to learn quickly. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as developing editing and proofreading skills, to support our worldwide customer base and partner network. Good time management skills and the ability to support project management activities. Ability to work both independently on defined tasks and within a collaborative team environment. Ability to work as part of a distributed team across multiple time zones. Preferred Qualifications Some exposure to Ping Identity products. Foundational knowledge of using Markdown, HTML, Git (or other source control systems), and mind-mapping tools. Foundational system administration knowledge of Windows, CentOS Linux, or other Linux/UNIX-related operating systems. Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, load balancing, REST, Virtual and Cloud Machines, and network security (SSL/TLS). Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OIDC, and LDAP Data Stores. Basic knowledge of development/scripting, ideally in JavaScript/Java/Groovy. Awareness of at least one of the major cloud vendor platforms: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
