This position does not offer relocation assistance. **Job Summary** Dominion Energy seeks an attorney that will be hired at the Associate Counsel level, with the skills and demeanor necessary to quickly learn and provide legal support on a wide variety of transactional matters. This position will play an integral role in Dominion Energy's Corporate Transactions group, including assisting with the review, drafting and negotiation of corporate procurement and technology-related agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience with analyzing and interpreting various legal requirements and with the adoption of technological solutions to help support the Company’s strategic efforts. **Job Responsibilities** + Provide legal advice and independently manage routine legal matters within assigned practice areas + Build subject matter expertise and begin to lead limited-scope legal projects + Draft, review, and negotiate corporate procurement and technology-related agreements with minimal supervision + Advise clients on legal issues in alignment with business objectives + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist senior attorneys with complex legal matters + May supervise or mentor paraprofessionals and junior legal staff + Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to support litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** + 0–2 years of experience drafting, negotiating and advising on energy-related procurement, information technology, software licensing and data privacy agreements. + Demonstrated interest in utility and energy law + General understanding of applicable areas of law and associated regulations + Ability to apply legal research to practical business issues + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Informed, reliable, and diplomatic in client interactions + Collaborative and professional demeanor + Ability to develop subject matter expertise and lead limited projects or initiatives **Note: Active member in good standing with a mandatory state bar organization.** **Education Requirements** Required Degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree): Juris Doctor Required Discipline(s): Law **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** State law license required. **Working Conditions** Office Work Environment 76 -100% Travel Up to 25% **Other Working Conditions** **Test Description** No Testing Required **Export Control** Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
