Associate Corporate Counsel, Mexico Operations Legal Team
Description Do you want to work on exciting, novel legal issues and help shape our Amazon Mexico fulfillment & logistics network? Come make history with Amazon's Legal Department. We are looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly growing Amazon Mexico Operations business, including our procurement, workplace health & safety, and transportation teams. We are currently looking for someone with a flexible attitude and great organizational skills. Key job responsibilities Your responsibilities will include negotiation and documentation of various third-party contractual relationships, including master services agreements, amendments, work orders, NDAs, and RFPs; developing internal processes to track transactions from beginning to end; identifying and implementing process improvements; developing internal policies and procedures and providing training to the business; working with internal business clients, other teams, and outside counsel. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining customer contract files, reviewing and developing internal policies and procedures, and conducting training sessions A day in the life In our Worldwide Operations Legal organization, attorneys experience diverse and dynamic workdays. You'll balance proactive legal analysis with responsive problem-solving, while advising internal clients and managing legal operations. Your role will involve identifying potential issues, addressing urgent matters, and collaborating across departments to maintain legal compliance throughout our network. This position offers a unique blend of strategic thinking, client counseling, and operational management in a fast-paced environment. About the team The Mexico Operations Legal team is a dynamic group responsible for ensuring compliance across Amazon's entire Mexico Operations network. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of legal experience - Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
