Performance Food Group
Responsible for working with Category Manager in achieving sales and earned income (revenue) objectives. The Category Associate Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with suppliers to negotiate marketing, promotional programs, and requests for proposals (RFP’s). They will also work closely with the Category Manager for accuracy of data control and information flow within their categories. Responsibilities would include working with the field purchasing and non-food specialist team to increase participation of exclusive brands and strategic suppliers with the conversion of nonstrategic vendor purchases and resolving issues related to vendor partners.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Works closely with Category Managers of specific product lines to analyze product assortment, profitability, and trends.
Serve as a key partner and interface between Category Management, Pricing team, non-food specialist, and other functional areas for program and agreement set up including MDM & EDM.
Analyze performance of categories, and maintain and update promotional documents with an explanation of analysis.
Assist Category Management Team with key vendor activities and functions. Support corporate product-cutting process as assigned.
Assist with managing vendor document updates, department SharePoint site. Create, analyze, and publish category reports for applied categories.
Manage earned income issues between vendor and PFG, handle accounting-related inquiries, provide customer contract support, and address any quality support issues/requests (including but not limited to exclusive brands).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
