**Corporate Risk & Broking**
Working under the guidance and direction of Senior Broker, the Associate Broker oversees day-to-day placement and broking responsibilities for North American tax liability insurance policies. Duties include assembling submissions, evaluating quotes and preparing reports for distribution to the client and their legal advisor, negotiating with underwriters regarding coverage terms, conditions, and pricing, developing relationships with producers and markets, and performing other duties as assigned.
**The Role**
The Associate Broker is primarily responsible for ensuring smooth underwriting processes. They are the colleague tasked with ensuring that all parties receive necessary documents and information and that calls are scheduled and run in an organized fashion. They are also, under the direct supervision of a Senior Broker, responsible for assembling submissions, reviewing and analyzing quotes, negotiating with underwriters, and keeping clients informed of placement status.
**The Responsibilities**
+ Supports the broking team that manages tax liability insurance policies.
+ Prepares submission and distributes to marketplace.
+ Reviews quotes and organizes into summary report.
+ Assists in communicating with underwriters via e-mail and telephone.
+ Assists in communicating with clients via e-mail and telephone.
+ Obtains and distributes information from clients and underwriters.
+ Reviews policies and binders for accuracy and completeness.
+ Maintains and develops business relationships with producers and senior underwriting contacts.
+ Maintains knowledge of insurance carriers and their business practices.
+ Participates in continuing education to maintain license and industry credentials.
**Qualifications**
**The Requirements**
+ Insurance broker’s P&C/surplus lines license will be required.
+ Undergraduate university degree required.
+ 3 – 5 years of experience minimum.
+ Must have a thorough understanding of transactional insurance products and principles and be able to communicate them to underwriters and clients.
+ Must have excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and sales skills.
+ Must have excellent attention to detail, be process-oriented, and be a self-starter with minimal need of supervision.
+ Must be familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
+ Must have solid written and oral presentation skills.

**Compensation and Benefits**
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
**Compensation**
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000.00-$140, 000.00 USD annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
